Since 1892, Strayer University has offered working adults the chance to expand on their education and move up the career ladder. Courses are flexible to work with busy schedules. Evening and weekend on-campus classes are offered to allow adults to fit school into their lives. With over 70 campuses located strategically in 16 U.S. states, many students find a campus nearby. There are currently 44,000+ students enrolled with Strayer.

Degree programs include associate, bachelor's and master's degree options in a variety of fields. There is a limitation as to availability of academic programs by campus and by state. Therefore, students may need to round out their education with online courses where necessary.

Strayer University has been approved to educate veterans, reservists and international students. The university works with the Service members Opportunity Colleges (SOC) organisation to educate active-duty military.

All students must submit proper proof of immunization. Vaccination requirements vary by campus location.
